• Capacitación en herramientas para implementación del enfoque de derechos humanos en salud para organizaciones de la sociedad civil – Plan de Capacitación (+)

    The right to the highest attainable standard of health is a fundamental human right and an such is enshrined in numerous international and regional human rights treaties and in the constitutions of countries around the world, such as Guatemala. However many people know what their rights are and what are the mechanisms to defend and demand them. To help change this situation, the Proyecto Incorporación del Enfoque de Derechos Humanos in the provision of health services at the community level, developed by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to support the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance (MSPAS) conducted a pilot project under the Program Extension of Coverage (PEC) that allowed develop a set of inputs to strengthen the skills of the actors involved in the exercise of the right to health. This training plan is part of these inputs and is the result of lessons learned during this process. With the training process that arises in this plan seeks to encourage the development of capacity Rights-holders to recognize and enforce the principles and standards nondiscrimination, participation, accountability and cultural acceptability, guide the development of plans and programs to fulfill the right to health.
    The training plan is designed to be developed with the different types of headlines Rights of local (organized and unorganized) and aims to strengthen the knowledge, attitudes and practices that may be useful to exercise vigilance and enforcement of right to health. This is a general guide to the purpose, methodology and the way forward, therefore
    facilitators of the process, for the participants. Includes schedule of activities, materials and assessment tools.
