• Going CEDAW in the Philippines (+)

This document presents a detailed account of these UNIFEM CEDAW Southeast Asia Programme (SEAP) projects with government, and illustrates how each branch of government is crucial in the CEDAW’s implementation. It discusses the adoption of CEDAW in the Philippines since its ratification of the convention in 1981, and details the legal means in which advocates and other practitioners can assist rights holders with their claims from duty bearers within the executive, legislative, and judicial branches. The document serves as legal and strategic guidance rather than a traditional case study.
